During the third quarter of 2023, the top 5 news and magazine applications in Kenya showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, offers a comprehensive view of the market trends for these apps.

Twitter Lite from X Corp. saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $2.2K in the week of August 21. Weekly downloads showed a significant upward trend in mid-July, reaching approximately 28K in the week of July 17. However, downloads gradually declined towards the end of the quarter, falling to about 14.4K in the last week of September. Weekly active users also experienced a slight decrease, starting from about 1.2M at the beginning of the quarter and dropping to approximately 1.1M by the end of September.
